Intro
I have been waiting so long to watch this. I think Adobe Creative Suite is one of the most desired software ever created, giving excellent support in the both camps — Mac and Windows. And release of CS3 suites added extra fuel to that.
To continue story about hackers vs. Adobe below, I have to say, hackers have won. Latest key generators work well (although the very first ones failed). I do not support piracy, but in this case (similar to Microsoft's Windows story) I believe piracy supports the company giving the enormous boost of software usage and popularly, plus epidemic-like distribution around the world (just look at the torrents listing on Photoshop CS3).

Besides, comparing to Windows Vista, Adobe releases are really expensive, which means professionals will buy them, but regular Joe user—probably not. Adobe already released few updates for it's CS3 suites [screenshot] both for Windows and Mac...

But this not the story. The story is new licensing mechanism in CS3. If you have seen message like the one below—fear not:
AMT subsystem Failure. The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically. You must reinstall or call customer support. -- Sounds not too good, right?
There could be another one: Licensing for this product has stopped working. You must repair the problem (I did not know I could repair the problem!) by uninstalling, blah, blah...
Solution could be very simple: Go to Services (Administrative Tools -> Services) and check service "FLEXnet Licensing Service" — it should not be disabled! Put it to manual mode at least.
This service marked as from Macrovision Europe Ltd, so odds are some hackers like you could switch it off! Personally I would switch off anything from Macrovision...
Now you know it is related to new mechanism of Adobe CS3 licensing and not to the fact that you might be using Photoshop CS3 illegally. Sigh.
